Drew Gasparini
Drew Gasparini is the recipient of the John Lennon Songwriters Award (2006). As
well as being a composer/lyricist for theatre, Drew is a performing singer/
songwriter. His work as a touring songwriter has been seen on stages around the
country where he has shared the stage with acts such as Jason Mraz, Third Eye
Blind, and The Plain White T’s. As a musical theatre composer Drew has
contributed music and lyrics to the popular one-woman show, “Hot Mess In
Manhattan”, as well as benefits for charity galas such as Broadway In South Africa.
Drew is an alum of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre workshop and has
written the music, lyrics and book for his shows Crazy, Just Like Me (winner of “Best
Of Fest” and runner up for “Best Book” in the New York Musical Theatre Festival
2011), Above My Pay Grade (commissioned by Pfizer & Holt Learning), Circles (NY
reading this coming fall), and Inappropriate Stories Told At A Bar. Right now Drew
is teaming up with the minds behind the Jeff Buckley-Romeo and Juliet
adaptation, “The Last Goodbye” to write the musical adaptation of the Henry James
novella, Turn Of The Screw (workshop at Fordham University), and his very own
serial killer love story: Make Me Bad. Drew has been the featured composer for the
National Alliance of Musical Theatre, and has twice been featured by Contemporary
Classics New Voices in Seattle, Scott Alan’s New Voices and The New York Theatre
Barn in NYC and his music can be heard online and all over the country at concerts,
benefits, and colleges. Drew’s sheet music is proudly available at
